Issac Memorial Club is a social service organisation functioning at Neelangarai in Chennai. On 04th November 2012, the club organised a free blood donation camp with the support of “The Landsteiner Lakshmi Memorial Research Foundation (LLMRF)” a public charitable trust blood bank from Egmore, Chennai.
Nearly 90 donors of both male and female donated blood after undergoing four tests which include HIV and other major diseases. The donors after donating their blood where offered juice and biscuits to get rid of their tiredness and a certificate has also been issued to every donor. It is to be noted that the club has been started in the recent few months and had been doing many social works in Neelangarai and this Free Blood Donation Camp is their first Public Awareness Program. Dr.Shanmugam of LLMRF took care of the medical assistance of donors during the Free Blood Donation.
Mr.Umashankar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Neelangarai Limit, attended the camp and conveyed his wishes to the organisers. Mr.Dayanandan – President, Felix Antony – Secretary, Karthick – Vice-president, Sathish Kumar – Joint Secretary and Gopinath – Treasurer along with other members of Issac Memorial Club worked together to make the event a success.
