Sri Palam Silks, on its Silkline ’13 fourth edition of annual fashion extravaganza launched different varieties of sarees of which Muhurtham Sarees , Slim Fit Half-Sarees, Ultra Light Fusion Silk Sarees, Pure Silk with Silk Cotton Sarees, Flip style Fusion Silk Sarees with two different colours and Free style Fusion Silk Sarees which can be used as Half Saree, Saree, Gaghra and Churidhar.
Jayshree Ravi and Ravi of Sri Palam Silks welcomed all. Jayshree Ravi is daughter of ‘Nalli’ Kuppuswami Chetty and Ravi is the son of the Managing Director of Sri Kumaran Stores. ‘Nalli’ Kuppuswami Chetty who was present in the function praised words about her daughter Jayshree Ravi and her efforts of bringing Sri Palam Silks. Mrs.Krithiga Uthayanidhi Stalin was also present in the function.
E.Selvan Silks & Sarees was awarded as out-standing contributor to the Silk Industry.
Models were dressed with the newly launched sarees of Sri Palam Silks and made a walk on the ramp. Many celebrities namely Divya Darshini (Anchor), Gayathri Raghuraman (Choreographer), Saraswathy Krishnakumar, Lakshmi Ravichandran (Mother of Anirudh, Music Director), Madhumitta (Playback singer), Uma Padmanabhan and Poornima Bakiyaraj also made a walk with the new design sarees on the ramp.
Classical dance performed by a group of male and female received applause by the whole crowd.
Finally Ms. Parvathy Omanakuttan of ‘Billa 2” made her appearance as a showstopper with a specially designed saree by Sri Palam Silks and walked on the ramp.
Sri Palam Silks also took the occasion to unveil Silkline, its bi-annual magazine which captures all the happenings of the first half of this year for this fast growing and hugely popular silk saree brand.
