On an exclusive interview to “Ottran Cheithi” by Ravidevan producer of the film “Kallathuppakki”, he said that the title “Thuppakki” was considered only on a request by A.R.Murugadoss, director of “Thuppakki”. Along with Ravidevan, Logiyas the director of the film “Kallathuppakki” and Ashok.G.Lodha, Advocate and Journalist were present.
Ravidevan said that their title “Kallathuppakki” was registered in the year 2009 and in the recent months there occurred a dispute in the title since then the title “Thuppakki” was registered and publicity started for the film. Ravidevan said that the issue was taken to the court and in the meantime, it was director A.R.Murugadoss who had approached Ravidevan and requested to allow them to use the title “Thuppakki”. Ravidevan said that A.R.Murugadoss was a leading director in the Indian Film Industry and was shocked when Murugadoss had approached him to consider the title “Thuppakki”. He said that he was very much pleased with the approach of Murugadoss and took initiative to withdraw the case filed against the “Thuppakki” team and withdrew the same from the court. He said that a No-Objection-certificate has also been issued by Ravidevan to the producers of the “Thuppakki” team to use the title and design for which a petition was earlier filed by Ravidevan.
Logiyas said that he was happy that the title issue was solved amicably and he could now freely engage himself with the post-production work of “Kallathuppakki”. Ashok.G.Lodha said that it was only because of Murugadoss’s request the case had been withdrawn by Ravidevan.
It is to be noted that all the three spoke only about the title issue, A.R.Murugadoss and none considered to speak about others of the “Thuppakki” team.
Finally Ravidevan, Logiyas and Ashok.G.Lodha wished the “Thuppakki” team for a success.
